180 OPEX - We Help You Take Control of the Process

I recently received a DM asking what 180 OPEX actually does.

We fix process compliance problems.

So what's a process compliance problem?

That's when habits, convenience, distraction or disinterest at any level derail success because your team isn't in full alignment with your process.

Now, there are really 3 ways to be out of alignment with the process:

1) Complacency - We don't follow the process because we don't think it's important (or it's inconvenient and nobody cares anyways).

2) Errors - We tried to follow the process, but goofed (typically caused by rushing, fatigue, frustration, habit disruption).

3) Ignorance - We forgot how to do it or never knew.

The problem with these alignment issues is that they compound. They're interconnected and each one that happens generates the conditions for more to happen.

One error leads to more work and error conditions, which leads to more errors and so on. It spirals and self sustains.

This is how we get all of the injuries, quality issues and production issues, which constitute the "constant firefighting" everyone loves to talk about.

180 OpEx lives here - we help you take control of the process.

We fix individual problems at scale using a novel process specifically tailored to your organization.

In most organizations, the same errors happen a lot... and those errors frequently have second and third order effects you don't even recognize.

How do we do it?

1) We look at your data and figure out what your biggest problems are (safety, quality, productivity, personnel actions, etc...).  We clearly identify each problem we can see and baseline it in the data.

2) We identify how individuals on your team can prevent those problems through process actions.

3) We then use our custom software to implement structured accountability systems that ensure those critical actions happen consistently.

4) Rinse, lather, repeat.

And we launch it for you. It's really a service more than a consultancy.

You provide a non-leader for 1 hour each shift to do what the software says. As long as that happens, the identified problems will recede in 30 days and disappear in 60.

You give us the data and access to study your process before we start. We design and build everything else. If processes are unclear, we clarify how your team wants it and make it so.

It's faster than traditional implementations. Your leadership team doesn't have to learn or launch anything. It's less work for them, not more.

We can do 3 full iterations in 90 days, and we have the capacity to solve as many problems as we can identify in that timeframe.

Our process is pretty simple. The design-work behind it is not.

We solve problems rapidly, at scale, and what we solve stays solved.
